After the recent success of its innovative Tartan Paint and its equally successful 3D Paint, Manchester based HMG Paints has announced the launch of a new shade card. Based on increasing popular demand, especially from ladies, the new shade card features Shades of Grey.
“The demand has been unprecedented, even the ladies in the office can’t stop talking about Grey.” says HMG Paints Managing Director John Falder, “Normally we see colour trends for bright colours or neutral earth tones, but this year, Grey is definitely the new Black. ”
Steve Hutton, HMG Paints Colour Manager says “With a colour archive stretching back over 80 years, we have many more than 50 shades of Grey available for our customers.” It is estimated HMG have over 200,000 colour formulations on its system. “At HMG we can find a perfect colour for any room in your house from your living room or dining room to your Red Room of Pain.”
The company prides itself on its innovative background and is constantly looking at trends & popular culture to help customers find the perfect colours. These new additions to the portfolio are the result of extensive collaboration between the R&D department and Colour Lab at HMG along with customer feedback and focus group sessions.
The new shade card contains HMG’s most requested shades of Grey and features colours from both the RAL & British Standard shade ranges, although many more shades are available. Unfortunately none of the female staff were available to comment on the new shade card, all apparently were busy reading.
The family owned company, based in Collyhurst, Manchester, has been manufacturing and developing paints for 82 years and is now the UK’s largest independent coatings manufacturer. A full British Standard and RAL Colour Chart can be downloaded via our website, www.hmgpaint.com, should you require shades other than Grey.
