The colour technicians in the Advanced Colour Design team source the highest quality pigments from all over the world and utilise their extensive colour matching and colour development experience to produce the most eye-catching, high-end shades.
Working closely with clients, the Advanced Colour Design team offers customers the chance to match or design their own shades, using fluorescent, sparkled or metallic pigment technology to create their own unique colours. Due to the team’s strong relationships with pigment suppliers, HMG’s customers have unrivalled access to the newest pigment technologies in the market.
In 2020, HMG’s colour specialists have worked with globally recognised car manufacturers, motorsport teams and architectural designers based in the UK and Far East. The work done with some of the worlds leading brands will shape colour trends for the next 5 years plus. Colour matching and the development of new colours has always been integral to HMG’s industrial history. Our manufacturing facility in Collyhurst, Manchester is built on the original 1773 site of Little Greene Dye Works. This factory was one of the country’s most ancient coatings manufacturing sites, producing coloured paints and dye solutions for domestic and industrial use.
Today, HMG Paints’ on site colour laboratory houses the most sophisticated colour matching equipment and offers colour support to customers and distributors across the country. With a library containing the UK’s largest collection of classic car colours alongside over 500,000 different shades that have been recorded and collated over the last 85 years, HMG have a unique resource for colour creation.
