At HMG paints we have strong family values and believe that the development of our staff goes hand in hand with the development and growth of the company. We’re proud that the average employment length is over 16 years and we have many employees who’ve served over 25 years.

There are various career opportunities available at HMG from working in the laboratories & production to working as a sales representative. No matter the role one thing is guaranteed, support for all staff members and extensive training opportunities throughout their career.

HMG believe that “one paint” does not fit all and work with individual customers and partners to design a range of materials to best fit their process and needs. We see our staff the same and each member of staff has a unique career development path.

Apprenticeships

We are passionate about introducing young talent across the company and passing on decades of industry knowledge to the younger generations. With a commitment to the development of our employees, starting at an apprenticeship level gives a head start to developing a long career at HMG Paints. With numerous successful apprenticeships completed we believe we are on our way to establishing solid foundations for the future of HMG Paints.

Throughout a 2 year programme and alongside excellent academic tuition on a weekly basis, apprentices have opportunities to gain hands on experience across the company and to even head their own small projects making a real impact to the industry today.

In 2014 the company was rewarded with Trafford College’s Commitment to Training Award for Science and Pharmacy. The apprentice opportunities can be found on The National Apprenticeship website, www.apprenticeships.gov.uk, and the company is encouraging applications through this channel.
