The Driffield based trailer manufacturer decided to embark on the project alongside long term coatings supplier, Supertune, and Manchester based industrial paints manufacturer HMG Paints.
For the topcoat of the trailer body and chassis, the team decided to tap into the vast colour library available to HMG Paints and Supertune. In consultation with HMG’s colour and styling specialists, who are experienced in designing colours for prestigious show cars, a distinctive dark green metallic colour was chosen, producing a dazzling finish.

For the eye-catching colour, a bespoke, metallic green HMG basecoat was used. This was then overcoated with an HMG’s XSC clearcoat. This high specification product is often used by the commercial vehicle and rail industries for its high durability, anti-graffiti, and chemical resistance properties, in addition to its superior, high gloss finish.
Owners, Peter and Dean Easterby, began working with coatings distributor, Supertune, after a long search for an improved overall painting process. With the support of HMG Paints, Easterby Trailers now produce an excellent standard of finish on its trailers. Not only are these finishes aesthetically impressive, they are also so reliable that Easterby Trailers now offer a warranty on the durability on the paint coatings.
HMG Paints’ General Manager of CT & Distribution, Martyn Binnington, has been heavily involved throughout the project, and is thrilled with the results. “This project has been an incredible success and is a culmination of the hard work put in by everyone from each organisation. The stunning trailer produced for the show is indicative of the quality now being achieved at Easterby Trailers and is a testament to the excellent relationships established over the last two years”.
This jaw-dropping trailer can be seen at the Easterby Trailers area, Outdoor Stand G19, at the LAMMA Show in Peterbrough on the 22nd and 23rd of January.
