John Falder Appointed New Chairman of the British Coatings Federation Industrial Coatings Council

At the British Coatings Federation’s (BCF) meeting on October 3rd, HMG Paints Ltd’s Managing Director, John Falder, was appointed Chairman of the Industrial Coatings Council of the BCF.

At the British Coatings Federation’s (BCF) meeting on October 3rd, HMG Paints Ltd’s Managing Director, John Falder, was appointed Chairman of the Industrial Coatings Council of the BCF.

John has had an active role in the BCF for 27 years and has been at the forefront of a number of BCF projects, including apprentice training schemes, environmental and sustainability programmes, and a number of health and safety initiatives.

John has been Managing Director at HMG Paints for 20 years. With sites and associates across the world, but still centred in Manchester, HMG Paints has grown to become the largest independent speciality coatings manufacturer in the UK, with 82 years of experience in the coatings industry.

As well as being fully committed to the new role, John is also looking forward to the challenge it presents: “I am privileged to be part of our dynamic and changing industry. The BCF has an increasingly important role in promoting the excellence and responsibility of our members and their vital role to the manufacturing infrastructure of the UK and the world. I will do my utmost to ensure the BCF continues to develop and go from strength to strength.”
