Product Properties

Synthetic Fluorescent is a three coat system.
1) BDX White Primer
2) Synthetic Fluorescent
3) Overcoat with HMG Marine Varnisht to attain gloss, improve durability and help protect against UV degradation

The light-fastness of fluorescent pigments (all grades) is between 2 - 3 on the Blue Wool Scale (of 8). This level of colour fastness is increased to 3 - 4 by over-lacquering with a UVRA containing clear varnish or lacquer.

In all environments, Fluorescent paints will fade 5 - 10 times faster than conventional industrial, decorative or automotive coatings.

Cleaning

Ensure surfaces to be coated are dry and must be cleaned using the appropriate HMG product to remove all traces of contaminants HMG produce a full range of cleaners, silicone removers, degreasers and preparatory cleaners suitable for the cleaning process.
