Manufactured to a formulation originally developed by the British Rail Board and designed for use as an etching solution for galvanised steel & zintec. Substrate should be cleaned with clean water once Mordant Wash has reacted (turned black) usually after full dry time (see Application 2). Any areas which have not turned black (usually due to substrate contamination) will need to be re-abraided and Mordant Wash re-applied.

HMG Stoving Primer Undercoats are high quality alkyd melamine formaldehyde high build systems, offering exceptional rust inhibiting qualities, hiding power and adhesion.

FERROZINC is a high performance water thinnable rust converter. It is an easily applied single pack material with excellent long term conversion properties. In many situations blast cleaning is not cost effective or practical, and though Ferrozinc is not an equivalent alternative to shot blasting, it does offer a far superior performance than conventional coatings applied to slightly rusted surfaces. FERROZINC is used after simple wire brushing to remove surface rust. A dramatic colour change from white to black will show that the rust has been effectively neutralised. FERROZINC should then be overcoated with a suitable primer & topcoat system for prolonged corrosion resistance. Salt spray and extended durability testing has proven FERROZINC to out-perform competitive rust conversion materials. For use on ferrous metals only. Not designed for use on non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, & stainless steel etc).

A Water Based 1K Primer that offers excellent adhesion, build and levelling properties. It is simple to use and gives fast through hardening and good protection against corrosion.

CB1004 Etch Primer is a single-pack, quick drying, chromate-free, anti-corrosive etch primer or surfacer. It has outstanding adhesion properties when applied to either ferrous or non-ferrous metals. It can be applied by conventional spray gun or brushing. CB1004 1K Etch Primer can be overcoated with most primer systems at any stage, once touch dry. As it is phenolic free, CB1004 can also be used in conjunction with powder coatings without causing yellowing of subsequent coats. Also available as an Aerosol.

Water based Acrylic coating designed as a suitable undercoat and surfacer for various substrates. Good stain blocking properties.

A 2K Isocyanate cured 'wet on wet' Acrylic Polyurethane Primer / Surfacer. It can be overcoated with all HMG 2K Topcoats without flatting, but also may be dried and nibbed if required.

A high quality, fast drying and easy to sand 2K Isocyanate cured Acrylic Polyurethane Primer / Filler. Polykote HS Rapidbuild 2K Primer can be used as a surfacer when applied as a thin coat on previously primed or painted substrates.

A transparent 2K adhesion promoter /primer / sealer. It is designed for use on sound OEM finishes when minimum sanding is required and has the additional benefit of being used as a 'wet on wet' primer to optimise process times. It is particularly suitable for colour changes to new vehicles as no sanding is required, however it is recommended that leading edges such as wheelarches, front of bonnets etc... are scotchbrited for maximum performance. The product can be tinted with up to 1% UNIT Tinter colour to assist with opacity. Not for use as a bare metal primer

A 2K Isocyanate cured 'wet on wet' Acrylic Polyurethane Primer / Surfacer. It offers excellent adhesion and anti corrosive properties utilising novel anti-corrosive pigments. It can be overcoated with all HMG 2K Topcoats without flatting, but also may be dried and nibbed if required.

A high build 2K Polyurethane Primer which can be used Wet on Wet. It is designed to provide adhesion and corrosion protection on steel substrates for ACE (Agricultural and Construction Equipment) markets.
